New Main Cooling Tower and replace existing six (6) cell cooling tower complete with pipe work.
Construct new six (6) cooling tower adjacent to existing main tower in an elevated position to gravity feed the water into the existing main tower basin.
Removal of existing tower and installation of an FRP basin cover.
The new cooling tower had to be construction with the existing tower remaining operational at all times. The new tower is complete and fully operational. The current challenge is to remove the existing tower and install the new cover on the existing concrete basin, whilst the system remains live and the basin is full of water. The complex design of modules to avoid deformation of the structure was critical to the success of the cooling tower construction.
