Refurbishment of the Pritchard Cooling Tower.
The project had been developed two to three years prior and included the replacement of the Hot water decking and plenum chamber structural columns.
During the project it became apparent during the repairs that all the diagonal bracing also was compromised. The large cross section timber was not immediately available so Breezewater engineered a repair that enabled the braces to be replaced with FRP pultruded box section maintaining that the structural repair met the current Australian design requirements for the Cyclonic Region.
