Design, engineering, planning and site execution to replace three (3) cells of the 18 cell counterflow cooling tower, whilst the remaining 15 cells remained operational.
Complex working over a live cooling tower basin during dismantling and construction processes.
Off-site construction of frame modules to gain efficiency in construction and reduce activities in the Exn hazardous environment.
The complexity of this project was very high and required careful planning during the design to ensure smooth site execution.
Breezewater worked collaboratively with the client to manage the complex risks and hazards around removing the existing aged timber structure and replace it with new.
The pre-construction work was completed with a local company, with the modules delivered to site on escorted loads.
The Breezewater supervisors worked with local companies to removal and construct the new replacement cells, demonstrating clear and concise leadership of resources that had limited to no cooling tower experience.
The project was completed to the client’s requirements and Breezewater is looking forward to negotiating the replacement of the remaining cells.
